Freedom of Information

Freedom of Information (“FOI”) requests should be made in writing. Your request should state expressly that it is being made under the Freedom of Information Act 2014.

Please be aware, however, that the only records potentially subject to disclosure are those relating to the general administration of the CEA. Records relating to the CEA’s enforcement work fall outside the scope of FOI. Before submitting your request, you should, therefore, satisfy yourself that the request is one which comes within scope.

If a qualifying FOI request involves the deployment of significant staff and/or other resources to fulfil, you will be asked to pay a fee to cover administration costs.

Requests may be sent by post to the address below or by email to foi.cea@cea.gov.ie
